Please give us a short summary of your website?
We sell Natural Products on our website including Supplements, Vitamins, Herbal Products, Homeopathy, Natural and Organic Body Care, Skin Care, Hair Care, and Sun Care products. We also sell Natural Pet Care Products.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We wanted to provide Natural Products to the world at affordable prices, with friendly service and quick shipping to the world. Having worked with Natural Products and Alternative Health, it seems this was the right time to do so.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
We launced our website in January of 2009 (January 4th).
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We chose a name that reflects what we are about. Body Wise Market, we relects the idea that we sell products that are good for your body.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We attempt to offer some of the more common items that people are looking for (Such as Fish Oil or Vitamin C), but we also work very hard to find and offer Natural Products that not every store (both online or brick and mortar) are offering to their consumers. As well, we attempt to provide in depth information on each product.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To help people help themselves through the power of Natural Health....and to earn an honest living so we can continue to provide excellent Natural Products to our global community.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
To be honest, time is a relative idea to us when it comes to our website and the type of business we do. We are willing to invest as much time as is required to make sure our site as informational and as easy to use for our visitors. In regards to Success; Success for us is measure by the number of times we are able to satisfy each of our customers who visit our site.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We would add more staff and add more products immediately to our site. We are constantly adding more products on our site each week, but each item we set up for sale, takes time, which means it takes quite a bit of time to set up all the items we eventually would like to be selling. Our end goal it so offer over 10,000 items for sale.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None really. To use, there are never problems, only solutions.
What has been your biggest challenge?
None that come to mind.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Google.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Actually, running our website has been exactly what our expectations were when we first set out. We new going in that it would take time to set up, take time to get our site out there and "Searchable" and would take time and patience to learn each day what our customers would like to see and what types of features that they are looking for. In fact, we are constantly learing from our customers and listening to them on how we can make our site easier for them to use.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Around 6 months. Forever is the plan.
